Commonly asked questions to do with memberships.

I paid for membership but it isn't activated yet?

Thank you for your support! At present, memberships are processed manually and may take up to 24 hours to process, although it is usually much quicker!

If it's been longer than 24 hours or you have a problem then please get in contact via your membership provider you signed up with i.e. via either Ko-fi or Patreon.

I'm a member but I don't have the relevant Discord role?

If you enter your Discord handle on either Ko-fi or Patreon prior to signing up then it should be assigned automatically. You can link your Discord account by doing the following:

If you have done so but 24 hours have passed and you still don't have your Discord role, then please contact me via Ko-fi or Patreon as relevant. I will then endeavour to assign your Discord role manually.

If you signed up for annual membership via Ko-fi and your membership has been activated but you don't have your Discord role then please contact me via Ko-fi with your Discord handle and I will assign it for you manually.

I would like to change membership tier

If you would like to upgrade or downgrade your membership to a different tier then it can be done so through your membership provider of choice:

If you are part way through a monthly or annual membership and you switch tiers, the following will happen:

  • Upgrade: You will switch immediately. Your outstanding membership* at the lower tier will be pro-rated at the higher tier and used to extend your membership expiry date.
  • Downgrade: You will switch when your previous membership expires. Your payment will then be credited and your membership will be added at the new tier.

* Unless the upgrade fee has already taken this into account. For example when the first payment of the new tier has been reduced accordingly for the remaining period. Patreon tradtionally works like this for example.

My Membership Payment was declined

There are many reasons why this might be, that typically relate to your bank rejecting the payment for whatever reason. These reasons might include:

  • Old bank or card details
  • Mistakes in your bank or card details
  • Not enough funds
  • etc...

I would like to cancel my membership

😢 Sorry to see you go, however I know there can be many reasons why you might wish to retract your support. My sincere thanks for the support you have provided already.

Please note that if you do not have an active membership and the price increases, and you later return, you will unfortunately have to pay the higher price.

Cancelling your membership can be done so through your membership provider of choice:

Once your membership is cancelled it will no longer renew. You can check when your member benefits will end via the membership page.

What happens to your membership perks if you cancel your membership?

In general you will lose all member perks, with at least the following differences:

If you have a membership house (more than 2 vehicle slots):

  • You won't lose any vehicles, but you won't be able to buy any more until you go down to one or zero again (as if you only had the first house upgrade, as per free players)
  • You keep the house and you can still downgrade it and get most of the money back as per any other house downgrade

My membership renewed, but my expiry date hasn't changed?

Renewals are currently processed semi-automatically. They as usually processed in 24 hours but may take longer. If your membership renewed on time then there should be no break in your membership!
